My plans for my future have changed because of this internship. Upon completion of my biology degree I was looking into occupational therapy program. This internship has caught my interest in agricultural biotechnology and I want to apply for my masters’ degree.

Before doing the internship, I knew I wanted to do research, but what I did not realize was how much I would enjoy it. With the training I have received from this program, I am certain of my skills, knowledge and capabilities, which have better prepared me for the real world, something that school alone would not have done. The program has also exposed me to numerous carrier opportunities and has encouraged me to further my education. I am a senior I Biology and I want to pursue my PhD.

As an undergraduate student, all I knew was that I wanted to be a medical doctor. After the research internship I found that I had abilities that I was not aware of. The internship provided me the guidance and directions to change my career choice. I am currently a graduate student working with molecular entomology.

As an intern and now a graduate student, the internship program has pushed me forward to continue my education and provided more opportunities and choices for my future.

The internship has been a very rewarding experience that has enlightened me to explore the field of molecular biology, and has opened new opportunities to further pursue my professional career.

It is difficult to summarize in one sentence what this program means to me, but I will try to express the most significant impact that resulted from this opportunity. This program gave me the opportunity to expand my boundaries and explore new ways to achieve my goals.

It was an experience that redirected my goals, elevated my self-expectations and inevitably built up my confidence.

This program gave me the opportunity to apply what I had learned in school to real world situations. Furthermore, the things that I learned helped greatly in choosing to pursue a career in the field of molecular biology.
